Digital Cosmetic Imaging

Cosmetic Imaging is the use of computers and specialized software that allow our dental team to provide you with an idea of your expected results. It also allows you to make any changes, if necessary. Actual final results are usually far better than what cosmetic imaging can show.

35mm Photography

A specialized digital dental camera is used to photograph the patient. The photographs are used to discuss all aspects of dentistry. They are an essential tool in communicating information relating to tooth color, shape, and position. With a thorough discussion of the particular photographic views, the patient is made aware of any existing problems that may require attention. The photographs are also used as aids for laboratory communication. Rather than a patient having to spend long tedious hours at the laboratory to relay tooth color, the photographs are a perfect substitute for the information. This procedure alone will save hours of time.

Intra-oral camera

A specialized video camera is used to magnify the inside of the mouth by a magnification of 20 to 50 times. The patient is actually able to see on screen the inside of their mouth in great detail. Intra-oral cameras allow patients to see exactly what the dentist can see during examination.

Dental Magnifiers (Loops) / Microscopes

You cannot treat what you cannot see. This is why at Dental One we use these specialized mini-microscopes to allow our doctors to clearly see and effectively treat your teeth and the oral cavity. Our specialized glasses allow us to visualize all the fine details which aid in our accuracy.

Digital Dental Education

For effective communication with all patients, we employ dental education DVD software. Full color pictures, sound, and animation help our patients see and fully understand the course of their treatment.

Dental One patients will be able to take home a compact disc containing information of their dental health and possible treatment solutions. This will allow them to view and share the information with their family in the comfort of their own home.

Digital X-rays

In today's world of technology, safety is also a key factor. The digital x-ray system reduces radiation from 75-90%. The information from the x-ray is scanned and is viewable in each treatment suite. This allows for the explanation of the x-rays in complete privacy.
